Dr. Lynne Heckert is originally from New Jersey. She graduated Temple University School of Dentistry, and was the first woman to graduate from the school since the Korean War and the only woman in her class. After graduation, she entered private practice at what is now Audubon Dental. She taught Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine from 1975 until 1980, before entering Villanova School of Law. Dr. Lynne practiced dentistry while attending law school full time and graduated in 1983. She was member, then an assistant editor, of the Villanova Law Review and law clerk for Judge Judge Marutani, Phila. Ct. of Common Pleas, and has authored various publications in dentistry and law. Dr Lynne returned to the Penn Dental faculty in 1988 as Assistant Professor of Dental Care Systems, Adjunct Faculty where she was course director of Legal Issues and Ethics in Dentistry. At the present time, Dr. Lynne teaches Law and Ethics for Dentists at Penn Dental and works three days per week at Audubon Dental. She lives in Haverford with her husband and their 26 year old son, George Heckert, III, now an EMT and second-year student at Drexel School of Medicine. Dr. Lynne is president and CEO of Domain Dakini, Inc., an IT corporation. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Montgomery-Bucks Dental Association and has been a Featured Temple Alumnus.
